Charcot Shower

Charcot shower is a massage procedure invented more than a hundred years ago. It is named after its creator Jean-Martin Charcot, a neurologist and psychiatrist, a member of the Paris Academy of Sciences. Charcot shower is an effective hydrotherapy procedure. A jet shower, better known as a Charcot shower, is one of the tempering and healing techniques in hydrotherapy. French psychiatrist Jean Martin Charcot — the developer of his methodology — practiced the procedure among neurological patients. After several sessions of the "shock" shower, almost all of them disappeared sleep disorders and muscle cramps, blood pressure and appetite returned to normal.

Indications for use

  • vegetative-vascular dystonia;
  • diseases of the digestive system;
  • joint pathology;
  • osteochondrosis and other diseases of the spine;
  • minor disorders of the cardiovascular system;
  • chronic fatigue syndrome;
  • constant stress;
  • metabolic disorders;
  • weakening of immunity;
  • diseases of an allergic nature;
  • fatness;
  • cellulite.

Contraindications

Subcutaneous fat is really burned after the sessions, and the "orange peel" becomes smaller, however, it should be remembered that this method is not harmless and has its contraindications:
  • pregnancy (strong jet can damage the fetus) and breastfeeding;
  • heart disease, heart attack suffered in the recent past;
  • pressure problems: hypertension, hypotension, recovery period after stroke;
  • harmful (malignant) neoplasms, as well as benign ones with a tendency to grow;
  • intervertebral hernias;
  • tuberculosis;
  • fibroids;
  • harmful skin ailments (eczema, ulcers);
  • varicose veins, thrombosis;
  • dystrophy;
  • predisposition to bleeding.

  • For women: critical days, as well as two months after childbirth. The term increases to six months if the delivery took place by caesarean section. The shower is allowed only if there were no complications and the seam is not inflamed.
  • Causing damage to the skin.
  • Fractures, sprains, severe bruises.
  • Acute period of chronic diseases.
  • Any harmful inflammatory process accompanied by an increase in body temperature.
