Treatment results

After sanatorium treatment, functional indicators are normalized. The success of rehabilitation is determined by the positive dynamics of the child's growth and development. A significant role in assessing the results of sanatorium treatment is played by the presence of positive emotions, well-being, normal sleep and appetite in the child. An indicator of the completion of the sanatorium stage of rehabilitation should be considered the absence of clinical, radiological and other signs of the pathological process.

Consequences of lack of treatment

The outcome of most osteochondropathies is bone deformation or incongruence of articular surfaces, which disrupt the function of the joint and contribute to the progression of the dystrophic process. In the vast majority of cases, arthrosis is formed in a joint modified by osteochondropathy.

Due to the weakening of the bone structure, fractures may occur. Moreover, their origin may be associated not only with injury, but also with the weight of their own body, muscle cramps, physical overstrain.

Contractures may occur.
