In most cases, during physiotherapy procedures, medications are not required or their intake is minimized.
Physiotherapy procedures are applied:
- using electrical impulses (Darsonval lamp, Electrical stimulation, Electrophoresis with the use of drugs, Electroson);
- with the use of water (Hydro massage, Charcot shower, Circular shower);
- various types of massage (point, segment, mechanical massage).
Darsonval lamp (Darsonvalization) is based on the action of electric current and UV rays. It improves blood circulation, has an analgesic effect and kills germs.
Electrical stimulation has an effect of current on a certain area. Due to this, there is an increase or decrease in the processes occurring in the Central nervous system.
Electrophoresis combines the electrical effect on the body with the medicinal properties of medicines. As a result of the current, the drug penetrates faster and deeper into the skin, a smaller amount of the drug is required, and the effect of the drug becomes prolonged.
In the hot tub and the Charcot Shower, jets of air and water are served under high pressure, which relax and tone the skin.
Manual massage can be either segmental (neck-collar, lumbar zone) or point massage, in which pressure on a certain point causes stimulation of the desired organ.
Tasks of physiotherapy:
- Strengthen the body, increase its defenses
- Calm the nervous system
- Normalize nervous processes
Contraindications:
- severe autonomic dysfunction;
- severe psychosis and depression;
- obsessive and other psychopathies;
- as well as general contraindications to sanatorium treatment.
